Questions people actually ask

How do I stake bitcoin with Atlas?

Pick one of the two ways on this page. Native bitcoin goes on Babylon and earns BABY. Wrapped bitcoin on Starknet earns STRK. Each page walks you through connecting a wallet and staking.

What's the difference between staking bitcoin on Babylon and on Starknet?

On Babylon you lock native bitcoin on the Bitcoin chain itself and earn BABY. On Starknet you stake a wrapped bitcoin token, such as WBTC, tBTC or SolvBTC, and earn STRK.

Does Atlas ever hold my bitcoin?

No. On Babylon your coins stay locked by your own key on the Bitcoin chain. On Starknet your wrapped bitcoin sits in a delegation pool that only your account can exit.

Can I stake bitcoin from a Ledger?

Yes, both ways. On Babylon a Ledger signs through Keplr. On Starknet it signs through Ready or Braavos.

How much can I earn staking BTC?

The live rates are on this page and on each staking page. Babylon pays in BABY and pays more when you also stake BABY from the same address. Starknet pays in STRK, so its rate moves with the STRK and BTC prices. Rewards are never guaranteed.

Can I stake bitcoin that sits on an exchange?

Not directly. Move it to a wallet you control first. For Babylon that's a bitcoin wallet such as Keplr, OKX Wallet or UniSat, or a Ledger. For Starknet you bridge it to Starknet first, and the Starknet page lists the bridges.
