Questions people actually ask

How do I stake NEAR with Atlas?

Connect a NEAR wallet or a Ledger on this page, press Stake and approve the amount. Your NEAR goes into the Atlas staking pool, atlasstaking.poolv1.near. Keep a little NEAR liquid for fees and storage.

Is staking NEAR with Atlas noncustodial?

Yes. Your stake is recorded under your own account in the pool contract, and only that account can unstake or withdraw it. Every step is signed in your wallet, and Atlas never holds your keys.

How long does it take to unstake NEAR?

Unstaked NEAR is released after 4 epochs, about 2 days, and earns nothing while it waits. When it has been released, press Withdraw on this page to move it back to your wallet.

How are NEAR staking rewards paid?

The pool adds each epoch's rewards straight to your staked balance, so they compound without you doing anything. There's nothing to claim. An epoch is about twelve hours.

When does staked NEAR earn rewards?

A NEAR pool earns in every epoch it holds a seat in the active validator set. This page checks the Atlas pool against the live validator set and shows its status before you stake.

What does the Atlas pool charge?

The pool keeps a fee from rewards only, never from the NEAR you stake. This page reads the fee live from the pool contract, and the rate it shows is what you earn after it.

Which wallets can stake NEAR here?

MyNearWallet, Meteor, HOT, Nightly and OKX Wallet all connect on this page. A Ledger signs directly with the NEAR app open on the device.

What are the risks of staking NEAR?

NEAR can lose market value, reward rates change, and unstaked tokens are locked for 4 epochs. A pool that drops out of the active set earns nothing until it returns. Rewards are never guaranteed.
